  1. We need to be EU members. I have been a Labour supporter for 60 years of being able to vote and at one time looked forward to re-joining through them. That was diluted as Starmer said they “could make it work”. Not enough, as it cannot work. The Lib Dems seemed to offer the only hope and I was considering that option – but now it seems that has also gone. So who do we expect to look to for what is undoubtedly the will of the populace? No party, it seems.

    1. Dear Gareth,
I agree with you. I used to be a member of the Labour Party, but resigned when Starmer adopted his “Make Brexit Work” position because I don’t believe there is a progressive agenda to be had in the early 21st century that does not embrace the principle of internationalism and therefore European integration. This led me to join the Rejoin EU Party which, I believe, can help advance the cause by threatening to take votes from the two main parties — exactly as UKIP did with the devastating consequences we all know about. I don’t think it will be easy. But what I am certain of is that unless we try, failure is a self-fulfilling prophecy.
      Kind regards,
Jim Newell, Deputy Leader, The Rejoin EU Party
