  1. Tony Blair is correct. Brexit caused a massive tripling of net immigration, despite the Johnson and succeeding governments recruiting around an extra 100,000 people to supposedly “take back control”.

There are always unintended consequences when simple solutions are proposed to solve complex problems. Farage, Johnson, Rees-Mogg and their bad carriers all peddled the same “simple” solution and it DID NOT WORK.

  2. Absolutely correct. Taking back control, apart from poisoning our relations with our nearest neighbours, caused a massive increase in legal immigration and an enormous increase in illegal immigration. I forecast all of these outcomes in early June 2016 when, in emails that I sent to the remain campaign at that time, I was trying to stop remain from running away from the immigration issue and to urge them to start carrying the fight on immigration to the leave campaign. In the Endnotes to my book ‘Brexit Unmasked’ I published two of the emails that I sent to prominent politicians before the disastrous and totally unnecessary 2016 referendum.
