I thought the whole idea of the summit negotiations with Ursula von der Leyen and the EU was indeed to bring our regulatory framework into alignment with the EU, to remove friction at the borders with imports/exports to and from our nearest neighbours and that dynamic alignment with the EU was a given. And long live that alignment.
Brexit is the single biggest mistake this country has ever made and since we cannot simply jump back in again, we have to begin to unpick Brexit.
I hope we will eventually return to the fold as full members of the EU again.
Agreed.
Anyone who tries to stop us getting rid of Brexit is blind or stupid.
We have had years of it and the outcome has been totally bad.
It has been proven to be bad for businesses and bad for the people.
There are no benefits to the UK at all. Never have been, unless you were someone in a position of power who stood to benefit financially from Brexit, or lied for Brexit for other reasons, or were just scum on the side of Russia.
Businesses were forced to leave the UK and move to the EU or collapse.
Employees lost their jobs because business did just that.
Apart from the above, there’s nothing and nobody in the UK that has benefited from Brexit after the voting finished and the truth started to come out – even the people who supported it found their dreams disappeared after the vote.
