I copied and pasted the above sentence as it is the thing that all of us who voted Remain recognised that no “Brexit promises” could ever have been made as they would always be impossible to keep.
The only people who “wanted” Brexit were the wealthy who wanted to avoid paying a new EU tax. They decided that it would be acceptable to spread the lies that far too many people swallowed.
Britain is a tiny island geographically separated from the rest of Europe, but it is not (or at least no longer) a global powerhouse which can afford, financially or politically, stand alone.
When we add to the mix the appalling situation in the USA where a President who thinks he is “ruler of the world” is destroying lives with his self-important autocracy.
The UK must rejoin the EU if it is to have any sort of chance of reclaiming its place on the world stage.
