“This trade deal is 50 times smaller in its GDP effect than being in the EU was – 0.08% of GDP. We lost 4% of GDP permanently by leaving the EU. And people are saying being in CPTPP will make it harder to get back into the EU. Absolute rubbish. In the CPTPP deal, it says you can give six months notice – that’s all – and then you’re out.”
