  1. Another botch-up. But, in a sense ‘it couldn’t have happened to a nicer bloke’ – if that expression can be extended to most of an industry.

    The salmon-farming industry is a disgrace. Overstocking, reliance on antibiotics, chronic sea-lice infestations, 25% of fish dying before reaching maturity, pollution, undermining the wild salmon population (already struggling). A dreadful catalogue of misery driven by greed. And the Scottish government has the gall to promote this as a ‘great Scottish economic success story’!

    Frankly anything that puts a stick in their spokes can’t be all bad…
